The Journey Travels Through Me

Last weekend with Jay and Kestrel on a two-year Shamanic training in Glastonbury culminated me sharing the following poem I wrote for the occasion while flying from Inverness to Bristol. It borrows its beginning from the Buddhist Heart Sutra which is a beautiful text on transcendental wisdom. It then continues with summarising my own experience about how I have moved on my spiritual path over the last few years. Through fears and releasing attachments on my journey towards the light. The more silent we become, the more the light shines through us!

The Journey Travels Through Me with Buddhist Heart Sutra

There was one morning when I realised that

All things are empty

Body is nothing more than emptiness

Emptiness is nothing more than body

There are no eyes, no ears, no nose, no tongue, no body, no mind

There is no seeing, no hearing, no smelling, no tasting, no touching, no imagining

There is nothing seen, nor heard, nor smelled, nor tasted, nor touched, nor imagined

There is no ignorance and no end to ignorance

There is no old age and death and no end to old age and death

There is no suffering, no cause of suffering, no end to suffering, no path to follow

There is no attainment of wisdom, and no wisdom to attain

The sun rises and envelopes my body with golden light

We fly together on this cosmic spaceship called Earth

I breathe in and breath out oxygen from the thin atmosphere

There is no safety and I am totally safe

Birds are singing

I talk with a Beech tree

I become empty and hollow

I am feeling small and tiny and I am the size of the universe

I don’t exist anymore and there is no end to my existence

I become a timeless point of light

My needs disappear, my beliefs fly away

I am starting to see the unknown the immense depth of the universe which we all are part of

I am on a journey where I don’t travel any more but the journey travels through me

I fly like an atom through the universe faster than light and at the same time remain immovable

I can see the Godhead

I can see the creation

I can finally see

I know we are all one

We are all beauty

I am happy and dancing away feeling alive and free of the matrix I once belonged to

I love you

I love me

Let us all just be together on this cosmic dance and connect our hearts together
